Impact that lasts a lifetime
As families are paired with their home visitors, they’re provided with more than just parenting support and education. They’re provided with more opportunities to thrive. This is because home visiting programs provide comprehensive support and connections to other health and social services that help those they serve become healthy kids in our schools, thriving parents in our parks, and prosperous neighbors in our communities.
Throughout the county, there are many families with home visiting stories that serve as anecdotal evidence of this. When we look at the data, it also consistently illustrates the effectiveness and positive impact of this regular home-based support that improves health and birth outcomes, helps children be better prepared for school, and increases positive parenting behaviors and family functioning.
