Joanna is an experienced administrative professional with a strong background in marketing, event coordination, and program development. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a Public Relations emphasis from California State University, Northridge. Before joining LABBN, Joanna worked in higher education, focusing on marketing and event planning for first-generation students. Her background also includes experience in local government and service-oriented initiatives through AmeriCorps, where she developed her skills in strategic planning and program management.

Joanna is passionate about supporting organizational success by implementing efficient operations, creating meaningful programs, and fostering collaboration through effective communication.

Fun facts:

• Joanna enjoys spending time with her loved ones, exploring new coffee shops, trying out the latest trendy restaurants, and unwinding with a good TV binge every now and then.
• She loves to read, hike, cook, and complete DIY projects.
• Joanna’s personal motto is "Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose," inspired by the show Friday Night Lights. Even though she's not much of a football fan, that phrase has always really resonated with her.
• Joanna’s advice to her teenage self would be: "Be patient, life has a funny way of working out.
