Prior to joining LABBN, Helen was a research assistant in a microbiology lab studying the effects of a drug against several bacteria at the University of Rochester in upstate New York. In undergrad, she had the opportunity to volunteer in Honduras with Global Brigades to build a clean water system and a latrine for local villagers in the rural part of the country. She is passionate about serving the underserved population through evidence-based findings.

Fun facts:

• Her personal motto is “I choose to try even when I am afraid.”
• The best advice she was given was from her mom, “You never know until you don’t try.”
• Her idea of a perfect day would be going to a park with nice weather and sitting on the grass chatting with friends while snacking on some food.
